Against the backdrop of multicultural teaching and learning environments at modern universities, this article explores the challenges and results of teaching ancient Egyptian religion and religious texts within the framework of Cultural Sciences. A field study introduces the scepticism of students with a non-Christian background when confronted with concepts of ancient religions biased by Eurocentric traditions.
