Ist die Lyrik in besonderer Weise bildlich verfasst? Haben die sprachlichen Bilder in den Gedichten eine eigenständige Charakteristik? Die alte Frage nach der lyrischen Bildlichkeit erhält im Rahmen einer bildkritischen Literaturwissenschaft eine neue Deutung. Es erweist sich, dass die Gedichte ihre Bilder sowohl erzeugen als auch dekonstruieren: Die ikonische Poiesis wird durch die autoreflexive Poetik der Gedichte immer auch unterwandert und textuellen Verfahren konfrontiert.
